2010 (Digital Singles)

In 2010, Matisyahu released a handful of digital singles, while building a touring base with Dub Trio, where they prepped a live album, and began writing on a new studio album.

Notes:
*January 2nd 2010 saw the release of One Day (remix) featuring Akon.  This track was also added as a bonus track to the 2009 album Light on iTunes upon release
*June 8,  2010, Matisyahu and Dub Trio covered Elton John's 'The Circle of Life' for the Disney Reggae Club.  Matisyahu and Dub Trio performed the track on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
*June 28, 2010 saw the release of One Day (remix) featuring Nameless for Listen Up! The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Album
*November 15, 2010 saw the release of the Holiday track Miracle.  A music video was made for Miracle.  Youtube link
*All four tracks are available on iTunes and Amazon for purchase.

Notes:
*Recorded and broadcast on December 5th, 2010 at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn
*December saw another set of the Hannakuh celebration Festival of Light shows that Matisyahu has every winter.  For the last two years, one of the nights has been simulcasted on the internet live.  This concert featured a few tracks with Aaron Dugan (guitar) and Rob Marscher (keys)




Other


*In January 2010, Aaron Dugan (guitar) and Rob Marscher (keys) stepped down from touring.  They still occasionally join the group, or just with Matisyahu to perform a few songs, while in the Philadelphia area.  Matisyahu and Dub Trio are the current touring and also recording roster.
*One Day was prominently featured in NBC's marketing of the 2010 Winter Olympics.  One Day became the unofficial theme for the Winter Games.
*In August, Matisyahu, along with Dub Trio returned to Stubbs to record Live at Stubbs, Vol. 2.  The live album was released in February 2011.
*Matisyahu was quoted as saying writing and recording began in September 2010 on a new record.
